Role/Responsibilities:

  • Tier 2 mental health support - individual and/or group counseling
  • 5th to 6th and 8th to 9th-grade transition
  • New student tour and building schedules
  • School and community resources
  • Bullying and suicide prevention, digital citizenship, and other student mental health concerns

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Keeps student records
  • Manages enrollment, PowerSchool access, and Turancy

 

Christian Floyd, School Psychologist: christian.floyd@usd497.org, 785-330-1471

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Assist families and staff in navigating Special Education Process (Referrals, Evaluations, and Support)
  • Administers and interpret psychological assessments
  • Collaborates with grade-level teams to effectively implement the GEI (General Education Intervention) process
  • Improves school-wide systems to promote positive behavior and mental health

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Provides Tier 3 mental health support (including social work services on IEPs)
  • Homeless Liaison for BMMS
  • Accessing community resources to assist families
  • Social worker for specialized classrooms

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Tier 2 and 3 mental health support - individual and/or group counseling
  • Assist in behavior intervention plans and support
  • Liaison to Bert Nash or other mental health agencies, including medication referrals, mental health evaluations, or referrals
